Portuguese based Nørbak returns to Soma with his second single for the label, the Myelination EP. Nørbak is quickly making a name for himself in the global scene and has just complete his debut album to much critical acclaim. The young producer has built a wealth of knowledge on sound design and is Cleary represented in his music which is deep and rich in sonic experiments whilst retaining dancefloor focus. This latest EP has Spanish Techno maestro Oscar Mulero & fellow Portuguese talent Lewis Fautzi, deliver two fantastic remixes that perfectly compliment the originals. 

Nørbak’s ‘Myelination’ starts the EP with driving percussive elements that propel the track from the opening. Swamped with light & ethereal FX, dark and droning sounds take the track down a ominous path. Lewis Fautzi steps up next with his remix of Myelination A more minimalistic interpretation he manages to continue the dark and direct momentum of the original. On the flip, Mirante rattle hards with steady and precise percussion, bolted together with heavy rolling kicks and sub and a perfectly muted rhythm throughout. Techno don Oscar Mulero closes the EP with his version of Mirante. He immediately ups the ante with driving 909 beats and huge atmospheric FX that guide the rhythms. Mulero always on point with his signature sound design and techno aesthetic.

For the second release of KHIDI’s acclaimed various artist series, the club combines together music from international pioneers Oscar Mulero and Orphx and its local, distinct residents Vulkanski and Yanamaste. As some of the most well-established and grand producers of the international techno scene, both Mulero and Orphx have played in the club previously, creating a couple of the most memorable events. Vulkanski, a heavyweight of the Georgian techno scene, and Yanamaste, an emerging talent who already has
gained massive acknowledgment, once again truly define the vibrant dynamics of Tbilisian techno scene. All four original tracks undoubtedly illustrate and radiate the curated sound, vision and atmosphere of KHIDI. The second VA melds together diverse styles of techno, thus creating a singular and contrasting compilation.

WE ARE ALL FOR COLOMBIA!

Since April 2021 the people of Colombia have been protesting peacefully against corruption and unfairness from their government entities. These protests have been permeated and violated by terrible police brutality. There have been documented disappearances of hundreds of people, killings of civilians by police forces, sexual assaults made by members of the police, and thousands of injured victims according to the non-governmental organization ONG Temblores, who have been documenting the situation.

The compilation "100 Years Of Colombia" brings the Techno scene together to make attention and awareness of what's happening in Colombia, with a hope for a better future. All the income from the compilation will be donated to charity organisations across Colombia.

ColPaz is a NGO that deals with current social development issues in Colombia, and also intermediates support towards third party organisations in defense to civil human rights against excessive police abuse. They are facilitating our contact with several organisations across Colombia to receive the funds we will raise with this compilation, including: Desaparicion forzada , Movice (Movimento Nacional de Víctimas de Crímenes de Estado) and Red Juridica Feminista, amongst others to be confirmed.

After being a German techno institution for 12 years now, the renowned Lehmann Club started its own label called “Lehmann Musik“ in 2018. The label aswell as the Stuttgart based club represents a wide range of actual techno sound. The philosophy of Lehmann Musik is to show a cross section of the Lehmann residents and regulars plus of course guests & friends of the club.

More than 12 months later still dark days for our scene and culture. We are guessing everybody is going through a lot of struggles and mixed emotions at the moment. As for the most in our industry and scene - we as Lehmann Club - looking into an uncertain future. Depending on how long this crisis will last, we not really know how it will go on afterwards. So we called some of our dearest „old“ and „new“ friends, past guests and our residents to create these „Save our HOME“ compilation series. We are very thankful for the support and appreciate this a lot.

The 006 is the second Edition of the Save our HOME compilation. It reflects again several vibes and moods of the current techno zeitgeist. Shout out and big love to all the artists who supporting us to keep our scene and culture alive.
