Tunnel Vision Relapse II: the second contribution to the label’s bimonthly residency on LYL Radio is here, courtesy of the enigmatic Naarm-based DJ and organiser, Artemis. This is essential listening for anyone interested in the far reaches / potential of electronic music. I should mention that Absorb is hugely inspired by the Artemis sound, which has played a pivotal role in the label’s journey & growth, tracing all the way back to the beginning (think Crazy Arms, rip). I admit to thoroughly studying the few recordings that are available in an attempt to understand what is going on during her live performances (tip). The music is compelling and forward-thinking, with that signature wild, dizzying quality throughout that I can never wrap my head around.
