Manchester-based duo, OC & Verde, were two of last year’s best upcoming British producers, generating genre-wide acclaim through notable releases like ‘Maasai’ – released on Knee Deep In Sound. Ben O’Connor and Jon Verde are back with this groovy 2-piece EP in Solstice/Horizon, released on VIVa MUSiC.

Manchester had quite the year in 2016, as the likes of Solardo, Kaluki Music and The Warehouse Project stimulated it’s raving scene, like three decades previous. OC & Verde are one of many rising artists deriving from the city, and the pair regularly played at the infamous soap factory, Sankeys, prior to its unforeseen closure.

‘Maasai’ catapulted the pair to unforeseen sights following the endorsement of Pete Tong who named the track his Essential New Tune. However, other notable productions can be found on Suara’s Kitties Wanna Dance (Volume 7) in ‘Vertigo’ plus remixes released on Bedrock Records, Selador and Glasgow Underground.

The future is bright for these two talented producers having gained support from Hot Since 82, Coyu, Richy Ahmed, Denney and Solstice/Horizon is the perfect start to another promising year for OC & Verde.

"Nobody Is Not Loved" - who could even dare to make such a statement?

Only music itself. Because music loves everyone, regardless of whether they are good or bad. It holds this very special, divine power. A metaphysical force that can unite all people, and has done so since the dawn of mankind.

“Tuk Tuk” is the third single from the album "Nobody Is Not Loved", that is now being released.

It is a highly energetic track that swerves across genres, first and foremost through the powerfulness of the extraordinary voice of Inez, singer of the German band ÄTNA. Her strong attitude stands above it all: "I'm the boss!"

The music video is a parable for the main idea behind the album title: The invisible protagonist of the video is the music, embodied by Inez. And she really has to fight. Throughout history, music has been misused, attacked or entirely forbidden – but until now has always prevailed. And once again in this case!

Because only music has the power to overcome everything - and to unite everyone in the end.
