Well, I finally finished the full version cover of one of my all time fave songs, In Your Eyes, by Peter Gabriel (previously uploaded only up to the first verse). This is a straight up cover that's as faithful to the original as I could get. It's definitely the most time and meticulous effort I've spent on a song trying to do it justice. All instruments are played by me on keyboard, as well as the live talking drum and spotty singing, and then some backing synth pads and the vital backing vocals by @remnant60 (https://soundcloud.com/remnant60). Bill was also instrumental in giving feedback and offering suggestions, and providing the mastering duties. I'm very grateful for his help, and since we both agree PG's original song is a masterpiece, we have a bit of a surprise remix version coming up that highlights all the layers of sounds that go into this song. Can't wait to share it with you!

Hip Hop fans on Soundcloud are likely to have come across the prolific talent of Ian Greaves (aka @IPG1). Ian's smart & slick vocal tracks are widely used in collaboration by other artists, as I've done here with one of his more popular lyric tracks, "Modern Times".  

On this collaboration, all lyrics are written & sung by IPG1, and most of the music is performed by me, with the exception of the sampled vocalization in the middle bridge and ending, and a few minor sound effects here & there. The beginning starts off normal enough, but the middle section takes a bit of a left turn before I 'go off' on the synth in the second half. I kind of enjoyed working the sliders on the live synth performance.   ;)

HUGE thanks to IPG1 for his generosity and helping me put together what is effectively my first hop hop tune, originally composed as an instrumental track. The lyrics are a topic close to my heart too, so really enjoyed being able to add my 2 cents in a way.
