This is my favorite part.  In fact a favorite melody.  I can think about it all day, even without the backing!

Ethereal is a nice title.  This is a nice song.

It's always a kind of treasure hunt to listen to your music, Robin. Waiting for what excitement or intrigue might be revealed a few steps (bars?) ahead. Great track :)

All things must pass.....even the enlightened state (Nirvana)...(not the band).....that feeling when a steady state starts to breakdown.

Wind ensemble tracks: Clarinet (5); Flute (4); Alto Sax (2); Tenor Sax (2); Soprano Sax (2); Oboe (2). 

0 - 1.49 min -  steady melodic A/B structure (few random elements appear)..
1.50....gradual descent into chaos on B section until 2.02 when soprano saxes steady it...but free elements gain ground
2.17 - section A with oboe holding it up...against some disintegrating chaos (panned).. 
2.32 - return of B section and the final comedown...oboes trying hard till the end.

That's the way i saw it anyhow.  [Try it with headphones if poss.]

Nirvana Comedown

Ahhh, nothing quenches the thirst like a glass of cool, clean water.  Of the things we take for granted this might be near the top of the list, but shouldn't.  Fresh water is a primary resource for civilization.  Ancient Rome knew this early on building a vast water system for moving and storing water.  Our municipal leaders are often occupied with securing and maintaining a supply of fresh water.
This is Seagull's first of three trilogies that look at this natural resource and the peril it faces unless it is managed wisely.  The song list is as follows:
