The first time I made this beat was in 2011. I was about to get out of the army and I wanted to create a piece that could express the feeling of not knowing what was going to happen but standing firm and courageous to move on to the next venture of life. Then I lost my files, my music, and my hard drive. 

I had a copy of the song and showed a friend who told me I should redo the beat. From Feb - Sept 2022 I began attending Full Sail University and learned tons. This is the product of what I have learned in relation to a beat I thought up eleven years ago.

Imagine being in a tunnel. In this tunnel, you begin to see the setup of something amazing. Star gazing, planet-forming, soaring across the stars. When all of a sudden an image of the past begins to form. The bass guitar is an unspeakable force embodying something brutal and interrupting the peace that was once and is trying to stay true and forefront. 

The bass is the interruption reminding you, me, and us that the reality is we cannot live with one without the other. The goal is not to remove the bass but learn how to adapt and conquer. 

We have to learn to breathe through the pain.
