Fachjournalist und EinBlick-Redakteur Christoph Nitz sprach mit Professor Doktor med. Armin Grau MdB über die Herausforderungen im Gesundheitswesen.

Prof. Dr. med. Armin Grau war Chefarzt der Neurologischen Klinik am Klinikum Ludwigshafen. Sein Forschungsschwerpunkt ist der Schlaganfall und hier vor allem der Zusammenhang mit Infektionen und Entzündungen sowie mit sozialen Bedingungen.

Er studierte zunächst Politik, Germanistik und Geschichte und später Humanmedizin. Von 1987 bis 2003 war er an der Neurologischen Universitätsklinik in Heidelberg tätig. 2003 übernahm er die Leitung der Neurologischen Klinik am Klinikum Ludwigshafen. Von 2010 bis 2014 war er dort Ärztlicher Direktor. 

Seit 2021 ist er Mitglied des Bundestages in der Fraktion von Bündnis 90/DIE Grünen. Er ist Mitglied im Gesundheitsausschuss.
