Jilted Hoodz are a rather undefinable sonic phenomenon, who transmit previously unknown musical atmospheres and formations of intergalactic beats. Jilted Hoodz once again breach the digital surface with the release of the first album Rogue Transmission.

The Jilted Hoodz signature 'feel good darkness' and glitched out sounds are characterised by hard edged bottom heavy beats, interlaced with beasty bass articulations and cinematic
instrumentals.

Jilted Hoodz commandeer speaker systems with low frequency sound emissions comprised of edgy electronic beats intermingled with timeless contemporary instrumentals. Jilted Hoodz create immense, strangely dark and often hauntingly beautiful sounds, sending shivering digital ripples and signals across an emotionally intimate field of electronic music, where others can sometimes fear to tread.

Rogue Transmission both defies and spaces across a spectrum of genres of electronic music, including Trip hop, Breakbeat, Dubstep and Experimental IDM/ Electronica. This album explores the spaces between all things, unfurling before us like a ribbon in the wind.

All In My Head

The concept behind this track is not Dr Who itself - but that everyone has a metaphorical spaceship in their mind, within which they can travel anywhere.  Although Dalek sounds and the theme from Dr Who were sampled to create this track, this was used to lend immediate association to time/space travel.  All of the other sounds & instrumentals are completely  original and built from scratch by Jilted Hoodz' sonic screwdriver ;)  
Stars hurtle and crash by silently, the cosmos flickering in the infinite space.  Blinding light, soft whirring, metronomic ticking, the gentle shudder and reassertion of your Spacecraft as it thrusts into hyper speed.  Audible glitches and tears as time fields converge.
     The colours, the light, the speed the wonder and the peril - all dissolve into the peace and grace of the solitude within your mind.  The interference and gentle burble of space chatter and alternate realities, reminds us of our collective consciousness, and of our connection to all things.

In the words of the promoter "I've never seen or heard anything like it." This was Jilted Hoodz' latest live set on 27/3/2014, supporting Opiuo in Canberra on his Australasian tour.   Apart from samples dropped live, everything you hear here is 100% original and made from scratch.  Most of the keys, strings piano etc are played in live by a chic stomping and dancing her way through the whole set.  You'll also hear DJ Bagdad absolutely ripping it, dropping highly technical scratches on the decks.   Jilted Hoodz went off on this one, you will see this when the video footage comes out soon ;) Haha, no one could ever say Jilted Hoodz aren't totally into it! And the people present at this gig, can testify to that. There were a few issues from the mixing desk that night,the sound completely dropped out for both Jilted Hoodz & Opiuo, apologies for this, it was beyond ze Hoodz' control!
