I Can't Stand It (Jim Foster)

When Fosterchild got their record deal in 1978, they block booked a bunch of time in my then new basement studio to prepare for the production of their album. Between January and June ... in between their touring ... we rcorded a couple of dozen songs! Half of those song were not used on the album ... There are some great songs and some great performances here!

Calgary band "Crackerjack" started up in February of 1980 ... Ed Gauvreau, drums ... Lloyd Shingoose, guitar ... Guy Plecash, keys ... and Jim Lewis, bass. They were a cover band right from the beginning ... willing to "cover" any kind of music to get the gig ... bars, cabarets, corporate parties, stampede breakfasts, weddings, etc ... so the song choices represented here are quite diverse! ... the photo was taken in the fall of '81 after Pat Hatherly joined the band, so she isn't on any of these tracks ... if you would like to hear her with  C'jack ... http://snd.sc/KBMPxq
