5. The Club

On August 16th 1960 The Beatles travel through The Netherlands on their way to Hamburg. In the village of Oosterbeek they have their photograph taken at a war memorial with the prophetic inscription 'Their Name Liveth For Evermore'. Anne and Wibo reconstruct this Dutch trip together with Mark Lewisohn and Piet Schreuders.

the song and its lyrics aim to incapsulate a WW2 Solider's message in a letter to home.

Jim sings on and plays all instruments heard on these tracks, at his home studio in Nottinghamshire. Many tracks are his own compositions, or collaborations, but some are covers, recorded merely for the fun of it. No money is made on these cover tracks - they're just reconstructed for my own amusement.
 Jim uses the following instruments : Rickenbacker 330 six-string, Shaftesbury 4003 bass, Epiphone Les Paul Custom Pro, Harley Benton 620 electric 12-string, Squier '86 Strat, Mountain 12-string acoustic, Eko '62 Model 100 archtop, Eko '69 Ranger 6 acoustic, Hofner Violin Bass, Epiphone AJ220S acoustic, Mandolin, 5-string Banjo, Sitar, Electronic drum kit, Tabla, Oberheim OB12, Korg Poly 61, Behringer Crave, Korg MS2000, Hammond XB1 organ, Roland U-110 module, Proteus 2000, Line 6 Spider IV amp, Pod XT, V-amp 2 effects, Vox Tonelab, and Boss ME 50 effects, An Apple Mac running Logic Pro is used for multitracking, and with the following virtual instruments ;  M-Tron Pro, Prophet V, Arturia V Collection. And several blues harps in different keys - plus a Stylophone.....
