This is little experiment for me - a revamp of an other persons track.
About 4 months ago I came across a song by Donak RV "Duo Melodica" https://soundcloud.com/donakrv/duo-melodica. I really liked it, and since I was working on the song "You Can Count on Us", I had a free nylon guitar from @heavyocitymedia Foundations on hand. I started improvising to it... and this remix/revamp was born ;) I sent Donak RV a sample and he agreed to let me perform this "devastation" of his track ;) This version is made on the basis of an MP3 file downloaded from the author's profile. A stem version is still in development.

I hope You'll like it at least a bit :)

the captain, mad captain
he told the men his plans
and then they went out stealing things
so they could rule these lands

they stole four antique cannons from the castle
hijacked a truckload of metal from the factory
they stole a jet engine from the old air force base
the mad captain nodded satisfactorily

they welded the metal into a battering ram
and the big jet engine was for extra speed
cannons armed in every direction
the mad captain had returned to the sea (x2)

they were a terror in the open waters
they’d sink any ship that they saw
and with their jet engine, they were able to avoid apprehension
and stay a step ahead of the law

vengeance in the form of a storm
came rolling across the sea
the mad captain pulled his eyes from the sky
he’d seen more than he wanted to see
"all hands below deck", the captain roared
"tie yourself down so you don’t go overboard"

I'm sorry y'all--this is another downer of a song with preachy lyrics but it's an idea that came up and demanded to be completed. 

The only side I take is the human one, but I couldn't have more contempt for the ostensible leaders of both Gaza and Israel who seek their own interests at the cost of so much suffering among innocents. Nothing good comes out of "Let's go kill some people."

RYS Free series continues into its 6th edition with a track that marks a return of another  “RYS-released” name - Baroc, a producer who previously contributed to our Killer Tracks Chapter 4 VA compilation with his track Asian Groove.

In contrast to the heavy driving and stomping feel of some of our previous releases in this series, “Sax Damage” with its bouncy off-beat rhythms, tripped-out vocal chops, and dreamy saxophone leans more on the eclectic side of the dancefloor, but with equal impact, or we should probably say - with equal dancefloor damage.

Der Berliner Künstler Jim Anders steht für tanzbare elektronische Sounds und Texte am Puls der Zeit. Beeinflusst von vielseitigen urbanen Musikstilen, kreiert er einen ganz eigenen mitreißenden Sound. Seine Texte mit Tiefgang geben dabei Raum zur Reflektion. Wo energetische Beats auf modernen Elektropop treffen, wird der Großstadtdschungel zur Leinwand und der Rausch im Club tanzbar.



Als Soundtüftler und Sänger führte ihn sein breites musikalisches Interesse auf Ausflüge in Elektro Duos, Rap- und Avantgarde Projekte, wodurch er sein Talent entwickelt hat, unterschiedliche Stilrichtungen neu zu denken und sie zu etwas Einzigartigem zu mixen. Das Ergebnis ist die 1. veröffentlichte Jim Anders EP Lauf!, die in Eigenregie im heimischen Studio bei BaumSoundBerlin entstanden ist und mit 6 kraftvollen Tracks aufwartet. Moderne Musik kann auch anders - reinhören, aufdrehen, abgehen!
