Still Surfing (Part 1)

I had these two little blues pieces – in E and C – and an arrangement for When I’m 64, and they seemed to fit, and voila! The whole piece runs for 100 bars, but subtracting the repeated two blues sections the piece adds up to 64 bars. I swear this was an accident!

Trauma Roller Coaster / Part 1

Music is our lifeline that keeps us in touch with our emotions no matter what genre. Soundcloud is a treasure trove and proof of this as you can hear with the samples I picked. 

Remixing all these events together ... was at the time when I made it a tough creative pill to swallow but picking it up again and making part 2 was quite the Mindfuck and just like Alice I fell down a deep musical rabbithole (a bit more then I wanted to) You can judge for yourself when it's finished and online. This part is all about the chaos and the second part is intented to be a bit more informative. (I hope) Rest in peace to all the fallen ones ~ LS.

No orchestra, no vocals – just one piano.

Performed on the legendary NOIRE piano (Native Instruments, VST), a custom grand recorded in Hall 3 at Funkhaus Berlin. The sound moves between “Pure” (clear, present) and “Felt” (soft, muted, almost like a whisper), so every note sits right in front of you.

The mood is vulnerable, reflective, but not without hope. The piano quietly says: “You just stand there,” and the melody drifts through sadness, closeness, fragility, and small traces of light. A lot of space, a lot of air, no distraction.

Musical style: minimalist solo piano with a cinematic feel. No beats, no layering – just keys, played slowly on purpose so every tone can breathe.

Kein Orchester, kein Gesang – nur ein einzelnes Klavier.

Gespielt auf dem legendären NOIRE Piano (Native Instruments), einem speziell präparierten Konzertflügel aus Saal 3 des Berliner Funkhauses. Dieser Klang wechselt zwischen „Pure“ (klar, präsent) und „Felt“ (weich, gedämpft, fast flüsternd) und bringt jede Nuance direkt an die Oberfläche.

Die Stimmung ist verletzlich, nachdenklich, aber nicht hoffnungslos. Das Piano spricht leise: „Du stehst einfach da“ – und trotzdem wandert die Melodie durch Traurigkeit, Nähe, Zerbrechlichkeit und kleine Lichtpunkte. Viel Raum, viel Luft, keine Ablenkung.

Musikalischer Stil: minimalistisches Solo-Piano mit filmischem Charakter. Keine Beats, keine Layer, nur Tasten – bewusst langsam gespielt, damit jede Note wirken kann.

Wofür ist der Track gedacht?
Für ruhige Momente. Nachts allein. Zum Durchatmen. Für Szenen im Kopf, die eigentlich kein Wort vertragen. Genau dafür existiert diese Version.

Hey….. Whatcha been up to lately? I’ve been outside working in the yard and garden. Reminded me of this old ranch hand who lived down by the river a couple decades ago. One autumn, he dug out every last quack grass root from his large garden and then died shortly thereafter, leaving a weed-free garden behind, for someone else that next Spring. I’m not too far behind him as far as digging out quack grass roots goes. In my spare time, I have been fumbling about on Ukulele. Luckily for you, this is not another Ukulele Song. Hahahaha. This song probably would have never happened if it wasn’t for a string buzz on the low E string. All music and vocals are by me and my slide guitar. This is a new realm of musical exploration for me. There are some recent slide ideas on this that I had been working up, but they never seemed to gel until now. Ah….the serendipity of a buzzing string in the life of a struggling musician. Der Berliner Künstler Jim Anders steht für tanzbare elektronische Sounds und Texte am Puls der Zeit. Beeinflusst von vielseitigen urbanen Musikstilen, kreiert er einen ganz eigenen mitreißenden Sound. Seine Texte mit Tiefgang geben dabei Raum zur Reflektion. Wo energetische Beats auf modernen Elektropop treffen, wird der Großstadtdschungel zur Leinwand und der Rausch im Club tanzbar.



Als Soundtüftler und Sänger führte ihn sein breites musikalisches Interesse auf Ausflüge in Elektro Duos, Rap- und Avantgarde Projekte, wodurch er sein Talent entwickelt hat, unterschiedliche Stilrichtungen neu zu denken und sie zu etwas Einzigartigem zu mixen. Das Ergebnis ist die 1. veröffentlichte Jim Anders EP Lauf!, die in Eigenregie im heimischen Studio bei BaumSoundBerlin entstanden ist und mit 6 kraftvollen Tracks aufwartet. Moderne Musik kann auch anders - reinhören, aufdrehen, abgehen!
