Who are Jimbobcob?
Jimbobcob were a worldwide unknown band that consisted of Jim James Dimitri Arthur and Jacob. The band started in the summer of 2014 as a joke James and Jacob did while they worked at the Boy Scout camp Wah-Tut-Ca. While walking on camp road, James would lay down a beat as Jacob would free style. This became a common routine for the two, and they decided to name their spoof gag band Jimbobcob, which combines James’ nick name, Jim, and Jacobs name together. The “Bob” in “Jimbobcob” has an unknown meaning. James and Jacob guess that it was taken from Jacobs name, but could it have been a third member? We may never know. Nevertheless, this is how Jimbobcob got their start.


	Jimbobcob started recording their last album on April 6th 2015 and finished on June 23, 2015. It was recorded in Andover and Lowell, Massachusetts. Their last song ever was “It Is Your Big Day”. In August, James and Jacob had a meeting in Michigan on the topic of a new album. James and Jacob both decided to start recording back at their original spot, Wah-Tut-Ca Scout Reservation, the week following the meeting. James and Jacob’s friendship was however taking a toll. The day that they were scheduled to start recording, James decided that he did not want to record with the band any longer. He claimed that “I am happy we did it” but “Jimbobcob is getting old, it was exciting at first”. These claims cancelled the new album, and ended Jimbobcob.

Only two months after Jimbobcob’s breakup, Jacob asks Jim to reconsider the groups future, and Jim decided it was time to return to the music scene with another Jimbobcob record. They were at a hair salon when the two got back together as Jimbobcob. Jim and Jacob got working not too long after, and came out with the single “For The Last Time”, known as a rap anthem by Jacob himself. The group recently got working again, and created the song “Castle Time” in a tent during Troop 79’s fall orienteering trip, run by Jacob and James  brother Arthur It was made on the Garageband app on Jacob’s Iphone, the first song they have officially put out using that app since their first single “Intergalactic”. The group is now working on the album to surround the new song, which is spectated to be called “Castle Time”, just like their song “Castle Time”.

After their album "Castle Time," Jimbobcob began working on what was to be their final album before Jim went off to the Navy. However, Jim departed before it was finished, so they are combining that album with their even newer album, "Jimbobcob Do Higher Education," hopefully coming soon!
