The Blood Uncles were formed in Edinburgh Scotland in 1985 ... A three piece band (4 counting the drum machine) featuring Jon Carmichael on Vocals : Big John Duncan on Guitar and Backing Vocals : Colin McGuire on Bass Guitar ... All backing tracks were written and programmed by the Blood Uncles ... First single "PETROL" was released on their own "Drastic Plastic" label ... After signing to Virgin, they released 3 singles "CRASH" "BEATHAG" & "LETS GO CRAZY" (a Prince Nelson cover) ... Also an Album titled "LIBERTINE" ... All releases were in 1987 ... The band toured quite a bit with such bands as "Gaye Bikers on Acid" and "P I L" to mention just a few ... The band disbanded in 1988 for no good reason ...
