David Morales presents a new release on his DIRIDIM imprint that brings together two artists with shared roots in vocal-led, club-focused music. 

Come On is a piano-led house track built on a warm, rolling groove, guided by a vocal from Leroy Burgess that feels effortless and unhurried. The elements are familiar in shape but handled with a light touch, giving the track an easy sense of movement.

Burgess carries a remarkable history. As part of Black Ivory in the early seventies, he helped define a smooth, melodic strain of New York soul. Later work with Patrick Adams, including projects like Logg and Convertion, moved toward a brighter, more dance-floor-ready sound that would feed directly into the development of early garage and boogie. Tracks such as I Know You Will and Let’s Do It have remained reference points for producers drawn to a rich, vocal-led club language.

Here, Burgess’ delivery is calm and assured, sitting neatly inside Morales’ arrangement rather than rising above it. The piano line cycles with a relaxed steadiness, chords opening and closing around the vocal while the rhythm section holds everything in place. There is clarity and space throughout, with no need for excess.

Come On lands as a meeting of two artists who understand how to let groove, tone and feel do the work. DIRIDIM continues to be a home for music that draws from house’s deeper roots while staying grounded in the present moment.

David Morales and Elle Cato return with the 2026 remix package of “And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going” on DIRIDIM.
The original landed in 2020, the same year Cato formally transitioned from her former artist name, marking the start of the Elle era with releases that leaned into retro pop inflections, soul, jazz and blues.
Cato’s voice carries pedigree from years alongside Billy Ocean, plus touring and recording roles with UK heavyweights including Robbie Williams and jazz-soul collective Incognito. Here, she meets Morales’ remix craft: warm, piano-driven and designed for mix precision.
The 2026 versions keep the intent of the original but update the architecture. You’ll hear tightened bass swing, brighter piano punctuations, cleaner vocal edits for blend-ready mixes and a little extra harmonic lift for peak-time utility without revising the song’s core optimism.
