A few words about this song….. 
About two years ago and upon my Dad’s passing, I was helping my Mom go through some of his things.  I came upon two copyright documents and two music manuscripts.  I sat there staring at the sheet music and immediately thought of recording it.  I believe this song “Someone to Care” was written in the early 1950’s.  My father Bill Gordon wrote it about his beloved Jeannette - my mother.   Dad was in the US Navy;   I imagine him feeling a little blue and writing this song on one of his deployments.   
I am so pleased and honored to be able to bring this song to life.   My idea was to try and make it sound vintage by hearing the crackling of the record player in the intro along with that vinyl sound.  I am most grateful to my brother Bill, my cousin Jeff Witt, my son Jimmy for lending their talents to this song, and my cousins Darlene and Diane for their input and thoughtful, lyrical insight.   Also, thank you to Jaime Gowell of Bluelight Digital for his insight and guidance on this project.  I hope you all enjoy the song.

A Mozambique Afro/Cuban inspired rhythm drives the interesting melodic chord inversions of this decidedly rock/pop song which plays 3:24. It's a happy song which I hope will keep fans coming back for more!
