A year ago I lost my friend Jay. He used to book me for shows in Toronto but from the moment we met our relationship was always much more than that. He was such a lovely guy, and a very talented artist. I wrote this track the day I heard the news of his death, I suppose it was my way of grieving. I kept meaning to "finish" it to put out but it's not really that sort of song, and I never opened it after that day. I figured it would be nice to share this piece of music as it deserves to be heard, and it's probably one of the most heartfelt pieces of music I've ever made. I love you Jay. Rest in paradise <3
