For Goodness' Sake is a kooky song about lots of nasty stuff that seems to get regularly ignored or that some people don't ever hear about because the information isn't widely publicized. I could have probably created about 100 more verses, because that's humanity for you! I don't wish to down play a lot of really good things about humanity, but there seems to be a massive recurring problem created as a result of putting money ahead of people (acquiring more wealth than needed). So many examples of pain and suffering that wouldn't have to exist if people were able to simply love others as they love themselves and love God and all of creation with their hearts and souls ahead of buying lots of stuff. 

This song has a jokey vibe, because we all carry a certain level of denial about the bad things that happen that are seemingly outside of our control. These issues are not a joke at all, but it sometimes feels like people carry on habitually enabling them to perpetuate, which is a bit of a shocking joke, and I thought it might serve to shake people up a bit and inspire some action. 

We all do bad stuff sometimes deliberately for our own gain, or accidentally when we don't know, and it's often hard to know sometimes what good or bad is when the lines are blurred, but still the above truth "love people ahead of money, is a winning philosophy", this song is positioned to spread that message. The challenge of this song is, to not blindly continue habitually doing or facilitating bad stuff once you know about it. The challenge also is to make sure you do plenty of research, assess the science, and form a viewpoint to support what you believe is right and wrong (as there's a lot of fake news out there). Together we can stand up against injustice and improve life for all. I believe that Jesus came to forgive our sins, that we can seek forgiveness when we are truly sorry for what we’ve done, remove the guilt we harbour in our souls. But I believe we have to actively stop the wrong behaviour too. We can find peace by living this way. 

But, whatever you believe, there is opportunity to reap what you sow personally. Actively stopping supporting the bad is so rewarding to ourselves (almost every philosophy supports the idea that helping others is good for you). And, at the end of our lives, we'll be able to stand up and at least say we tried to do the right thing, and others will remember us for it.

For Goodness' Sake

This is about finding happiness in imagination; using the places you've been and the people you love to find calm and peace in an otherwise difficult environment.  We constantly compete in close and busy environments and I've found this can really close off the senses and numb the mind to what really matters.  It can also strengthen the mind, but in different ways.

Get Back

Sometimes we all push our feelings down rather than voice them.  It may be better to do this, who knows.  But when you're in a relationship with someone that does this it's hard to understand their point of view sometimes if they completely close off.  It's also hard to deal with when you love someone but you can't help them.

How Does It Feel

This song describes the trapped feeling you get with love sometimes, when you know something is wrong with a relationship but you're really unsure whether it is wrong enough to cause you to break the relationship off.  It seems to me that if it is too fundamental a problem for a couple to work through then sub-consciously resentment grows and creates a rift that eventually pushes them apart.  It's really upsetting to be in this situation; in denial of the fact that the love you thought was perfect has started to disintegrate.  And when there is growing insecurity in the relationship it doesn't help (it doesn't help to be an emotionally scarred artist in this respect either ;-)).  It's not always better to be somewhere else; eventually you have to face the issue.  My condolences if your in this situation.
