BODY MUSIC EP 0.2

A collaborative mix with The Gent, Atomheartmommy, and Dylan Cole to showcase the various sounds selected for their monthly Headroom Party at TBA. A collective of Native New Yorkers we keep a sound that is rooted in the foundation of NYC, Chicago,Detroit and abroad that pushes forward with a spirit of curiosity celebrating the culture of digging for the perfect beat.

I've always been a fan of Mannie Fresh and the New Orleans sound. He was my introduction to the drag rap and bounce growing up. As a fan of this sound I'm here to offer a new spoke in the wheel to keep it rolling a long. 

I created this is the SP404. I didn't give it to much extensive mixing. It was two tracked while on a visit back home to New York. From box to airwaves enjoy

This is a live DJ set from 21 September 2024 at Große Freiheit here in Friedrichshain @ 114 Boxhagener Straße. It’s one of the regular venues I play here since moving to Berlin from New York. I think back on a time in my life not that long ago when I wasn’t comfortable with inside myself to be present with my Queer peers. GF114 is the start of new growth and celebration for me. I enjoy the inclusive and encouraging energy that radiates in this space. It’s a come as you are vibe no matter how you identify as long as you’re kind I can guarantee you that their is a space for you there. I enjoy the challenge of playing their dance floor and bringing my style. I like to keep my sets fun and interesting there. No need for genres as I like to keep the style very fluid like the many beautiful people that walk through the door. I hope you enjoy these selections. I took the Ubhan over to a homies crib to lay down this mix. It’s free flowing, unscripted, and explorative of what I’ve been collecting. New and old selections from my travels through sound are present. The past few years of my
DJ journey has seen valleys and peaks that has challenged me; my identity in music. An art form that I once deeply associated with crowd control has evolved into something deeper than me and what I like or the control I can gain. The art of being connected with the crowd so the crowd moves me as much as I move them that’s the high I crave. That’s the ultimate goal. Humans of all kinds close together sharing the universal language of music.

25 Januar 2025 Pt. 2

Recorded this mix on 25 January just a little bit ago, and just now posting it. I've been living in Berlin now 1 year and 5 months almost a year and a half. It's been a wild journey of ups and downs that I wouldn't trade. I'm always inspired by the last nights and constant beat like many that seems to move the culture here. It's exciting building myself new as a DJ knowing that my job learning is never done. I'm always absorbing sounds and finding ways to express myself with them. This mix is the first part I start of with a 90s hitting sound and in the second half posted of this mix we take the journey further. I hope these beats amuse your ears.

25 Januar 2025 Pt. 1

I just did my first set at THF Radio this past Friday 25 April.  It's always a nice vibe and community over there. Unscripted but organized is always my style when mixing.  With this I've tapped into some new tracks mixed with some old classics. In Particular I'm  really geeked over the sounds I'm discovering on Duro Label so many beautiful gems coming out of the Latin American dance music scene especially in Mexico. I hope this mix amuses your ears please enjoy and share.
