THE MOTIVE
As much as we love Amsterdam, we believe that there is something missing in the current clubscene. At every party you see the same DJ’s, hear the same music, see the same faces. With all the clubs Amsterdam has to offer it still seems like everything is the same. So we want to create something fresh, not just another partynight in Amsterdam. We want to establish a clubnight that gives every visitor an overall experience from the second they enter the club to the moment they leave Jimmy’s District.

THE STORY
Jimmy’s Jimmy's District​ is literally based on the ‘Leidseplein’ area. For years it is the hotspot area of Amsterdam and as we know, Jimmy Woo and some other amazing locations in this area, all have the same owner. A lot of people see Jimmy as a sort of mysterious personage that owns the place. In a way we would like bring that assumption to life by making this clubnight a celebration of Jimmy’s accomplishments and all the qualities that assemble in his district, Jimmy’s District. We believe in emphasizing the qualities that Jimmy’s District stands for: creativity, music, architecture, fashion, art, drinks, beautiful people and most of all good parties.

THE EVENING
We will start the evening at 23:00 with a pop-up expo by Cashmere & Concrete. They invited a few artists form their creative network to expose some of their work to a wider audience. After this event all the artworks of the artist will be exposed at conceptstore FOUR by Azzurro in the P.C. Hooftstraat. All of this is off course supported by some great music. After the reception it is time for the real party, all invited guests can stay at Jimmy’s District.

At 23:00 the club is open for visitors, where the party is centred on the upper floor, the party will progressively move downstairs. The tone of the music will gradually change while the switch takes place to get the visitors into a party mood.

THE MUSIC
Without music there is no party. In Jimmy’s District we aspire to select our DJ’s carefully for their love of music and their creativity. Nowadays anybody can play a few tracks and then call him or herself a DJ. That is not what we are looking for, we want real DJ’s that create amazing vibes and have authentic styles. We are always in search of new talent that we can mix with more established names in the scene to create the perfect line-up for the evening. We don't believe in one specific genre, because with modern electronic music there are just too many crossovers. So call it an eclectic evening, but the mainfocus will be: FUTURE R&B/HIPHOP // UKGARAGE // 2STEP // UK & AFRO HOUSE
