Eric Stark touched down in Australia 8 years ago, bringing with him over a decade's worth of European electronic music and industry knowledge. Originally from the sun-soaked landscapes of the south of France, his musical journey really began to unfold in the vibrant city of Paris, where he had the chance to play at some of the city nightlife’s institutions such as Rex Club, Batofar, Djoon… The Parisian nightlife scene became a great source of inspiration and education to the underground scene for him. Making the move from France to London in 2009, he made waves in the city that shaped rave culture in the Northern Hemisphere. Performing sets at electronic music institutions including Fabric, The EGG, Mode and The Qube Project, he was also booked to perform at Glastonbury and Kazantip- two festivals that pull some of the biggest acts globally.

Dance floor-focused, Eric Stark feeds off the crowd and delivers all that they want whilst taking them on his artistic journey. You’ll find home on the dance floor for this set! Navigating the vast spectrum of electronic music, Eric Stark's sets seamlessly fuse the sounds that shaped his upbringing and those that resonate with his heart. Spanning Disco to Electro, infused with hints of Italo, Synth wave, electronica, and a subtle touch of new wave/post-punk, his music exudes the unmistakable energy of 80s electronic influences Eric also runs his own SUPERNATURE parties with his partner Ruby as well as being the music programmer at boutique festival MOTION, producing his own music and curating selectors for various other projects and venues including the "Weekend Selector" at Terror Twilight in Collingwood.

Tilt Shift sits firmly left of center, a difficult-to-label square peg that unintentionally fails to fit a pigeonhole. Borrowing from the photography term, Tilt Shift refers to two different types of movement, a selective focus with a large depth of field used to control perception. This can be applied to our music policy, tilting the vertical axis resulting in a sharp area of focus without reducing the depth of field. The selective focus that can be achieved by both tilting and shifting movements, It's compelling because the effect is different from that which you may have become accustomed to. This movement is often used to avoid the convergence of parallel lines, or as we have come to think of it, it’s where the lines blur.

Stockholm Syndrome presents Hostage Radio Vol. 67 - Birds NL

Birds is the musical project of UK-born, Netherlands-based DJ Katie Wilkinson. Her music is a melting pot of techno, 90s acid, electro, 80’s EBM, and New Wave, with her more recent material also incorporating more bass-heavy sounds. She has released on labels such as Höga Nord, Ombra International, NEIN, Freeride Millennium, Hard Fist, and Samo Records before founding her own label Feed The Void, a label which aims to showcase her eclectic tastes. She has also received a lot of love for her captivating live sets.

As a DJ, as well as through her music she exercises a never-ending desire to explore sonic possibility and switch up genres continuously. Her sets reflect these curiosities and have an extremely transcendent nature to them; you never know whether you'll find yourself dancing to churning low-tempo industrial techno, high-tempo acid bass lines, Italo, experimental breaks, or something far and between these things. Nothing is too weird or intense for a Birds DJ set. She has a monthly radio show on Netil Radio (the fourth Tuesday of the month 5pm-7pm), which is a residency that she's had for the past five years.

Dear listener,
finally this year, I managed to see the man burn!
In the weeks and months before Burning Man a lot of my friends kept on telling me how amazing it was and most of them would conclude their eulogy with something like: „Burning Man changed my life“.
Well, I can not certainly say that Burning Man changed my life, but what I know for sure is that my life changed afterwards ;-)
Very glad that I made it to this far away place and I hope to return next year.
I want to thank Lio and everybody at our nice camp and of course the robots who invited me to let their hearts beat according to my pace. It has been truly amazing. 
The only thing I really had to struggle with, that Sunday morning on the Playa, was the sunlight that made it almost impossible to spot anything on the display, so please please please you geeks out there, come up with something that can work in sunlight, because we all love the sun!
