This was a good episode. Gav spoke a lot less. 

Oh god. Belated realization that a friend of mine tried to do this once. "I'll just build the structure and once I have players they can tell me what they want for theme, narrative, etc." Needless to say, it failed.

Yeah. I literally cry every time I read the Survivalist's entries in Honest Hearts, but... you can easily a bunch of those, and only find certain ones through people-given quests. The strength of the incidental holotape writing needs more solid interaction to drive to it.

You know, Subnautica pulled off the "I know they'll be dead when I get there", but Subnautica was doing a very focused single-player story with that, not huge sprawling multiplayer madness.

To be honest Laura, I've been thinking that since the announcement. You ever make it by Pittsburgh, I will buy you a glum drink.

Actually, related to an earlier topic, not long after I got my 4K TV, I decided to plug in GTA SA to laugh at how bad it looked, and for the most part it was actually... fine. The faces were a nightmare and a half, but all the bright, cheerful, cartoon-y ways everything else was depicted made it work surprisingly well.

So how about that Fallout 76? I should point out, this podcast was recorded after only a few hours with the game, before your old pal Jim was utterly sick of it. Expect a more generous appraisal here, and that's saying something, because this appraisal isn't generous at all!
