Don't worry , Nintendo have had a good history of controller backwards compatibly so maybe you could use a wii u pad or pro controller . The renders are most likely fake anyway.

Welcome to the teething phase. We're at our limit for what can be done efficiently within DX11 and are starting to use highly inefficient runtime environments and emulation to get effects not meant for DX11. This is why DX12 and Vulkan are needed and sorely overdue. We're back in that phase we had with DX9 making a transition to DX10, and even that wasn't enough hence the rapid shift to DX11. Microsoft has been sitting on it for too long now though, and even now can't seem to get right what AMD and Dice did with beta implementations of Mantle which has been repurposed into Vulkan. Little known fact about the disparity between AMD and Nvidia in how they render DX12 right now is that Nvidia drivers are written to not even bother rendering graphical effects it doesn't know how to.
