I would watch/listen/read to a piece about why Heavy Rain is bad. I would really enjoy some long-form in-depth criticism on video games. Plus it would be nice to have a link to send people when I tell them that David Cage is shithouse, and they try that "oh but his early work was good." That doesn't work for Adam Sandler, I'll be damned if it works for David Cage!

How do you make your movie have WORSE CGI than the game?

Horses are actually dumb and cruel animals. Their portrayal of "noble" or "friendly" Is entirely fictional and stems from them being used for a multitude of tasks due to their strenght. They not nice creatures at all though. P.S. they did not bother animating horse wounds anyway, when she slashes their legs theres just blood splatter but no wounds.

Actually Nariko letting Kyo die is not character developement. Before she marche to the battle she flatly tells here father that here only family is her sister, hence Kyo is not part of her family/clan and therefore can die.

On its own, Heavenly Sword is a fairly mediocre and badly animated CG movie. 

Contextualized, it's AMAZINGLY awful. What they managed to do while having access to the source material is an incredible testament to how badly you can screw up when you clearly don't give a damn.
