Nora was the same actress and character from the first Jumanji. She was the kid's aunt who took them in.

In all likelihood the producers were probably unable to secure the license to play the song they wanted to use. If they had a license for "Baby I Love Your Way" from the previous movie, it may not have expired by this time.
