The thing with pyramid head is that everyone remembers him as more human than he was. Yes, he had a more humanoid shape than say, a Lying Figure, but he still had only 3 fingers, had a black, long toungue that came out of his pyramid head, and is described as having "A head shaped like a pyramid" either as the mask or behind the mask. There's also some seriously alien actions he does.

See, I really like the movie Pyramid Head design, and I also like that they brought him back in games post-2. Whilst it defies the original point of him, I think he can be expanded into a more versatile metaphor - an agent of Silent Hill.
