Tracks 5 and 6 from my LP, Airport Vultures:

We Can Do This All Night - The first track I made for Intec and still one of my personal faves.  It came at a time when I was frustrated with what I was doing. I wanted to make sometthing that did not sound like all the other stuff that was about at the time.  The vocal was key and took a lot of TLC to make it work.  I wanted the track to be about the simple hook and that vocal. It still has the killer groove for me. Again, inspired by the original techno fathers and I love playing this record!

On The Line - This is the first more housey track on the album. Focused around a simple layered stab line that develops through the track and a bass that you can hardly make out the notes, but just rumbles along underneath.  Still has that techy approach but for me oozes electronic soul. I'd say its a head nodder and again hopefully keeps the listener interested as it develops. After a lot of American influence from Detroit and Chicago, this one has a more European feel and shows my love for the housier side!

Getting towards the end of the album now! Here is Sleepless in Detroit and AIrport Vultures!

Sleepless in Detroit - You can guess from the title where this one is going! This ons is all about the squelchy lead line.  I wanted to inject some funk into this, but keep it interesting too. That lead line is one of my personal faves on the album and it came very naturally when I was writing this track.  This sounds great on a sunny day, driving about with the windows down! Yes, I'm that one you look at and think, 'turn the music down you dick' - well go do one, im Sleepless in Detroit!

Airport Vultures - The title track of the album and was a real moment for me that gave me focus for what I wanted to try and do with the album.  A pretty simple track, but hopefully effective.  WIth a large nod to the likes of Robert Hood and Joey Beltram, its focus is a stumbling hypnotic synth lead.  It was also about the contrast of big washy verbs in the breaks to very minimal crisp beats when it drops. I love playing this record and the name was perfect for the album for me!
