"Married By 27" is about western society's pressure on all aspects of life including:  marriage, children, money, stability, and religion, while not achieving these benchmarks, and imaginary timelines while instead embracing the fear and failure to do so. 

It was written like a country song but is produced like a modern day, alt-pop concept with new wave analog textures. The instrumentation adds an 80s nostalgic backdrop to accompany the character storylines.

Connecticut native, and overseas hit writer, Jim Wolf, came up through the folk-pop singer/songwriter boom of the mid-2000s, releasing a handful of independent albums before suddenly achieving mainstream success in South Korea. "Make You My Lady," an acoustic love song he released in 2012, was unexpectedly adopted by the K-pop community after being prominently featured during a 2014 South Korean celebrity wedding video. The song enjoyed perennial chart success into the next decade and became something of a staple on several popular K-dramas and other television shows, and pushed other songs from Wolf's catalog on charts and into television.

Jim Wolf has become a familiar presence in the South Korean Music scene since 2014, when his single, “Make You My Lady”, was used in the wedding of popular South Korean actors, ChaeRim and Gao Zi Qi, and climbed K-Pop charts to #29 out performing major label artist such as Maroon 5 and Beyonce’. The song is on the rise again since appearing on primetime hit television show "My Secret Romance".

“Make You My Lady” currently holds a Top 30 status in Asia for the last year on the Melon Country Chart, above Jason Aldean, and Kacey Musgraves' both with brand new albums, it stands with contemporaries such as Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift and Bob Dylan and has been used over 30 popular TV broadcasts in South Korea, including “My Secret Romance”, “Heart Signal 2”, and “What Is Mom?”

Despite the success of his music in South Korea and a rapidly-growing, loyal fanbase, Wolf has yet to tour the region, something he plans to do in 2019. In the meantime, he continues to perform in the US and record and release new music regularly, others songs by Wolf have aired on ‘The Young And The Restless’ and Chinese Variety Television Shows as well, and it’s no surprise that he has thousands of fans in Asia longing for more.

Jim Wolf is a singer-songwriter originally from Fairfield, Connecticut. His journey into music began in the mid-90s, inspired by his brother’s band, Villanova Junction — a group that briefly included a young John Mayer. After tagging along to writing sessions and gigs, Wolf picked up his first guitar in 1994, a sunburst Fender Stratocaster, and began carving out his own sound.

Though he started on electric, it was the acoustic guitar that felt most natural. He spent his early years playing in bands throughout Connecticut before moving on as a solo artist, eventually making his way into the New York City singer-songwriter scene. Along the way, he's shared the stage with acts like The Alternate Routes, Charley Crockett, and comedian Mark Normand.

Wolf is signed to Peermusic Group Worldwide (via Peermusic Korea) and has been represented by Neon Entertainment for over a decade. He’s performed across the U.S. and internationally, with tours in South Korea and Singapore, including a major press tour in 2019.

His music — a mix of pop, folk, and soul — has earned airplay on both commercial and independent radio stations in the U.S. and abroad, including KHTP 103.7 The Mountain, 99.1 WPLR, and Korea’s TBS and MBC Radio.

Wolf gained unexpected international recognition when his song “Make You My Lady” was featured in a Korean wedding video for actors Chae Rim and Gao Zi Qi. The track later appeared in a Korean drama and went on to chart in Asia, peaking at #44 on the Mnet Pop Charts and reaching #2 on South Korea’s Melon Country/Folk/Blues chart — where it held steady in the top 3 for nearly two weeks in 2019.

To date, Jim Wolf has released five independent albums and 18 singles and EPs, with more music always in the works.
