《笑傲江湖曲》(Xiao Ao Jiang Hu Qu) was first rearranged by film composer 胡伟立 (William Hu) for 《笑傲江湖》(The Smiling, Proud Wanderer, the Chinese title of the novel, literally means to live a carefree life in a mundane world of strife) TV version (1996). 《笑傲江湖》is a wuxia (“martial arts and chivalry”) novel by 金庸 Jin Yong (Louis Cha). It was first serialised in Hong Kong from 1967 to 1969. By the time of his death he was the best-selling Chinese author, and over 100 million copies of his works have been sold worldwide. Though Mr. Jin Yong passed away last year, the wuxia world and spirit he created still have great influence on millions of readers.

I always wanted to use traditional Chinese musical instruments in contemporary arrangement. Thanks to Qianqiu Liu who made this idea into reality. We posted it on Bilibili (a video-sharing website in China) a few days ago and it received about 100k views in 24 hours. She is a very talented Pipa (Chinese Lute) player. Her understanding of Chinese music and culture were deep and exceptional. This arrangement is not only a soundtrack, but a story:

鬼王之宴 Demonic Feast (NetEase "Omnyoji" Original Video Game Music Competition Top 20 Nominee)

Jing Zhang is a composer from China. She composes, orchestrates, conducts, and produces music for film, television, video game, trailer, commercial, animation and other types of visual media. She is a self-taught pianist.

In 2015, she graduated from Zhejiang University (China) with Bachelor of Arts Degree in Translation and Interpretation. After graduation, she got admitted to Berklee College of Music (Boston, US). She was major in Contemporary Writing and Production, dual major in Film Scoring and minor in Video Game Scoring. 

With a Merit-Based Scholarship offer, she graduated from Berklee College of Music (Valencia, Spain, 2018) and obtained the Master of Music Degree in Scoring for Film, Television and Video Games. She recorded her final composition for Master Degree, "Nostalgia", with 51-piece orchestra at AIR Studios in London.

She is currently working as a freelance composer at Jing's studio.
