Uses 2a03 + 6 channels of N163, over-clocked to 224Hz (so this can't be played on real hardware, sadly).

Hiya. This was my entry to the Semi-finals of S3XMODIT Mania 2 (which ended a week ago). I finished joint 5th that week, and as a result, failed to make it through to the final round (by one point!). Congrats to Goluigi for winning, and Jayster, mad and Stinkbug for getting the runner up positions :)

Absolute Zero

This is my little Contribution to the Pokey Compo at the biggest Atari Party of the Year, Silly Venture 2k14. Still quite new to the Pokey Soundchip, I think this turned out not that bad.

Results are yet to come. this track also was featured in our Demo released at that very party: AD:6502 / Arsantica II.

Triace - Back From Fractalis (Silly Venture 2k14 Pokey Compo)

My first tune ever with STEREO SIDs aka 2x 8580 with filters and all + added HALL reverb to mix the output of the two chips.

The raw tune is 3+3 channels aka pure stereo, but I composed the tune with a Logitech G35 headset with surround/reverb enabled so they got mixed. That's the sound I have tried to emulate in my mix here, so you can gain the same experience with a normal Dolby Headset

Wow. What can I even say about this other than, "Thank god it's finally over"? I've been working on this song since October 15th, and it is without question the finest piece of music I have ever composed. I'm almost reluctant to press "submit" because I've become so addicted to working on it.

But if I made it much longer, the filesize limit on this format would positively DEVASTATE my pride and joy.

If this was the last song I ever wrote, I can't say I wouldn't be satisfied. At a time closer to the present than I'd like to admit, I considered the idea of writing one final towering work as a capstone of my ability, and then ending my life, in so doing, leaving a musical suicide note.

This is what my suicide note would have been.

Of course, thanks to Loon (to whom this song is dedicated), I no longer have even fleeting thoughts like these. And, to be honest, this song is far more inspired than anything I could have written in a hopeless state.

Thank you for reading my ramblings, and I hope you love it as much as I loved writing it.
