This set was created in the midst of the vibrant culture of Bahia, where endless beaches meet singing people, breathtaking landscapes, and tranquility—from Itacaré to Chapada Diamantina. Influenced by the diversity of Brazilian rhythms, grooves merge with recordings of the sounds that surround me.  For me, this creates hypnotic waves that give my soul a comfortable home here in nature.

Continuing the idea that had been spinning in my head for a long time, I played and recorded the second downtempo story from my collection includes several hundred different REs: revisions, reworks, retouches, reinterpretations, reconstructions, reshapes... Here again, there are many interesting and unexpected combinations: from hits by The Beatles & Metronomy to Fever Ray & Leonard Cohen, performed by completely different artists, from Kusht and Anton Feine to Landhouse and M.RUX. Melamanos - RE: (II)

It’s been a long time since I played this style. Recently, I went through my Deep House folder and put together this set. I’m not sure if "Deep House" is the exact term, but it’s how I’d describe these tracks.

I selected them because they focus on the groove rather than melodies. They have a continuous hypnotic rhythm with few drops and minimal instrumentation—nothing too climactic. All tracks were slowed down to 115 BPM, which feels like a sweet spot to me: not too fast, not too slow.

Das hier ist ohne Zweifel das persönlichste Set, das ich je aufgenommen habe.

Beim Diggen und Zusammenstellen bin ich immer wieder durch meine eigenen letzten Jahre gereist – durch Erinnerungen, Stimmungen und Momente, die mich geprägt haben. Viele der Tracks sind mehr als nur Musik für mich, sie tragen Geschichten in sich.

Als das Set langsam seine Form gefunden hat, ist mir aufgefallen, wie Viele prägende Gigs und Podcasts schwingen  darin mit– fast so, als würde alles auf natürliche Weise zusammenfinden. Slowly becoming....

Danke für die Möglichkeit und das Vertrauen. Dieses Set zu machen hat mir nicht nur viel Spass gemacht, sondern gezeigt, was mich musikalisch wirklich ausmacht.

Ohne all die besonderen Events von euch würde sich dieses Set ganz anders anfühlen. Echos from Venus hat meinen Sound und meinen Geschmack definitiv mitgeprägt – und dafür bin ich sehr dankbar.

This is without a doubt the most personal set I’ve ever recorded.

As I dug through tracks and put this together, I found myself traveling back through my own recent years—through memories, moods, and moments that have shaped me. Many of these tracks are more than just music to me; they carry stories within them.

As the set slowly took shape, I noticed how many formative gigs and podcasts resonate within it—almost as if everything were coming together naturally. Slowly becoming....

Thank you for the opportunity and the trust. Making this set wasn’t just a lot of fun; it also showed me what truly defines me musically.

Without all the special events you’ve organized, this set would feel completely different. Echos from Venus has definitely helped shape my sound and my taste—and for that, I’m very grateful.
