I haven't felt good for 8-9 years now
I called one of my close friends when my problems started piling up
I said, "Listen, I haven't felt good for 8-9 years now"
He got angry all of a sudden, flared up
I'm guessing he bounced where he sat
He said, "Get up now. Come over"
I said, "Yeah I'll do that but I can't get there quickly
'Cause you know what, I haven't felt good for 8-9 years now"
"So be it" he said, "Come over even if it's late"
I went there slowly, taking my time
I said, "So, I'm here"
"What's wrong with you?" he asked me
I said "Like I told you, I haven't felt good for 8-9 years now"
"In that case," he said, "It's clear what we're gonna do with you"
He went to the kitchen, fetched a chopper from the drawer
He wrapped the chopper in his grandma's scarf
And then he put raw meat on top of it
Gave it to me
I said "What am I supposed to do with these?"
He said, "Go put these under your pillow
Open all the windows
Then do whatever the fuck you want
You'll get better"
I asked him, "Are you sure?"
He said, "I am"
I said, "Listen, I haven't felt good for 8-9 years now
How can this make it better?"
"I don't know" he said, "That's what I always do
And that's what I recommend to troubled people"
I thanked him and left

From Nu-Jazz to Techno, through Trip-Hop, Funk and Latin music, jiony offers one of the most unique and identifiable sounds in the contemporary downtempo scene. For more than ten years he has been taking chances on slow music in and out of the dance floors, playing alongside Nicola Cruz, El Búho, Matanza and Nicolas Jaar. He collaborates in other projects such as CasaNegra, Ser Humano, Extraperrestre and Karen y Los Remedios. His live acts are multifaceted; one or two instruments, live looping and improvisation, alone or with other musicians. As a DJ and Selector he likes to mix different genres like Hip-hop, Funk, Jazz, Latin, House and Techno.
