Paper Roses

I didn't really know this song very well, and I don't like to listen to the original version of a song,  especially those done by female artists (and I don't like to cover newer female-sung songs very much), before trying it out, but I couldn't stop laughing at how much I REALLY didn't know it all the way through this, and I had to keep starting over. I know the melody, because I've heard it at least once, but I didn't know any of the words except for the first line and part of the chorus. I managed to guess and make it up, left out a few lines that I didn't think it needed (have no idea what they were really supposed to be, lol), and I finally made it through once, and this is the result. This might be a romantic love song for everyone else, but for me it's all about my son. He is everything to me, and I know I mess up a lot more than I get it right, but he is the love of my life. Done on my -getting very tired- iPhone 4S using VocaLive app. The voice might be too hot in spots, but I can't ride faders or do anything except set it and press Send to soundcloud, so I set it so it doesn't get too drowned out when the track gets louder. And finally, the only thing I know about the original(s) is that I thought the song was called "How Do I LEAVE Without You", so I was determined to make sure I said the word "Live" right and I wanted that D to be a bit stronger.

I do not speak Spanish, but I find it easier to sing in Spanish than in French fir some reason. I am a huge Thalia fan, and this is a beautiful song which I hope I didn't ruin.

A duet!  Cover of the Bobby Russell (Honey, The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia, Do You Know Who I am, etc.) song. It's been done by many artists including Roger Miller and Glen Campbell with Bobbie Gentry, which was the version I first heard when I was about 3 years old and we got our first cassette player in our car! This is a cover of the version by Robbie (not Bobbie, lol)Williams and Kelly Clarkson, and my duet partner does a fantastic Robbie; whereas, I sound like me and am a lousy impersonator so I don't even try! Done on my iPhone 5S using VocaLive and with some importing  help from Audiobus to get the track into VocaLive. I hate being the engineer!

This is a cover of a song by Lisa Brokop. She is from where I am from, and she's a wonderful country singer and very nice person. My ex husband used to play for her. Anyhow, I decided to raise the key and then I got sick and lost my voice. I haven't been sick for about a decade, and haven't lost my voice since I was 17! I was still sick when I recorded this, and I may redo it, but I have so many songs I want to do, I am anxious to keep singing and can't wait for my whole voice to return!

Who Needs You

All songs are legal, but eventually my list will be empty since SoundCloud is run by utter idiots, and they have been systematically deleting my songs over the years. I am not alone, though. There are thousands of good, decent people with accounts with perfectly legal uploads that get their wonderful creations deleted by the boneheads on here and their fascist automated HAL every minute. The more they delete, the less people will access their archaic site. That’s fine with me. Stop using SoundCloud. It’s useless and no one cares about it. Delete the app. And then go to a site where both amateur and professional creations are welcome.
