Having recently produced and released new material, @key-be decided that it was about time to record a new live set. “This way I’d like to share my music and enable listeners to discover my musical universe”, says the young musician. He recorded the set in his atelier in Paris - in a basement: “I spend a lot of time there because the quietness and solitude help me express my ideas musically while going deeper into the topic.” It is vitally important for him to tell a story through his sets. “It is not only about the tracks but rather some kind of contemplation throughout the whole mix, the feelings involved, cultural inspiration and a bit of my personality”, says Keybe. “The Nomad Soul” is the result of several months full of work and learning. Seine neuen Produktionen – sie waren die Inspiration, dass @key-be ein neues Liveset aufnahm. „Ich will so meine Musik teilen und sie soll entdeckt werden“, erklärt der junge Musiker, „und so können alle in mein musikalisches Universum eintauchen.“ Als er dieses Set aufzeichnete, war er in seinem Atelier im Herzen von Paris – und zwar in einem unterirdischen Keller: „Ich bringe viel Zeit an diesem Ort, weil ich es in der Stille und der Einsamkeit schaffe, meine Ideen musikalisch auszudrücken und tiefer in die Materie vorzudringen.“ Das Wichtigste ist für ihn, dass die Zusammenstellung eine Geschichte erzählt. „Es geht nicht nur um die Tracks, sondern auch um eine Reflexion im gesamten Set, das Gefühle, kulturelle Inspirationen und ein wenig von meiner Persönlichkeit vermischt“, so Keybe. „The Nomad Soul“ ist die Frucht mehrerer Arbeitsmonate, die mehrere Phasen des Lernens von Keybe zusammenfassen. 3 QUESTIONS to SETH SCHWARZ:

Q: Thanks for telling your story. How did these tracks influenced your doings from the early days? And maybe they still do?

A: The tracks I have chosen for How I Met The Bass influenced me to perform on stage live with the violin. Some tracks date back to 2006. The mix finishes with an upcoming song called "Limba". The tracks have still kept inspiring me and gave me happy moments of great memories from festivals, clubs and moments with friends.

Q: You've been travelling all around the world as a live performing artist. Due to Corona you were forced to stay home as we all did. What did you do since the lockdown?

A: Since the lockdown I have rediscovered the beautiful wine area around my home Saale-Unstrut, one of the biggest Northern European wine areas. The free time also let me connect with the gardening, doing hikes and taking swims in cold rivers. I wasn’t a big fan of live streams so far, but having seen myself projected into the virtual Burning Man through the multiverse app on the Playground stage was definitely new and made me think - what if this ^^real^^ body is also just an Avatar?

Q: When looking into the future, what can we expect from you soon?

A: In October I will be releasing a gem called "Limba", on Einmusik's imprint. The track is working out a lot how long term relationships can also come to an ending but the ending can set us free at the same time for further growth. It is featuring the only music video I did this season. Rodriguez Jr. remixed one of my favourite tracks "Un Reve Etrange", which will come out on Plaisir Sonores by the end of the year. And finally I will finish my medical dissertation hopefully. In the new year we will kick of with more coproductionsy. I made music with Marc DePulse, Teho and more. I am very much looking forward to starting another musical project in the coming year with a more cinematic approach.
