Fanontale is an AU that takes inspiration from Undertale fanon perceptions by using it to influence the roles the beloved characters take, as well as manifesting in-universe, affecting the characters and their stories.
This is not an Undertale AU about "What if Undertale fanon was good", but rather one that seeks to answer the question of "what if fanon perceptions had direct consequences for the lives these characters live?"

Papyrus takes Sans’ role. He’s the leader (and creator) of the Flowey Fan Club, being Flowey’s most devout supporter! And he’ll support Chara just as fervently, always encouraging them to do their best, and to get their life on the path of redemption. welcome. to fell!sonic 3. an "evil sega" theme to kick it off.
this au is, like, the underfell of sonic 3. every track should be replaced, and there may be extra if i think there should be.
this soundcloud will be formatted like any other undertale au, just... for sonic. genres and all, even if absolutely no one has done a "#angel island act 2".
this will be a mod of sonic 3 a.i.r., turned into its own thing... not quite soon, but (hopefully) not too far away.
for now, tho, just enjoy the soundtrack.

here's context for the characters and story.
sonic is a non-verbal hedgehog. he literally has no mouth. not like he needs it in a classic series anyways...
in his past 2 adventures (yes, 2. sonic 1 and cd were combined into one adventure), sonic had taken down a tyrant named Oxus Mandamus (the eggman of this au). from a long lineage of tyrants, oxus had used his mechanical genius to take over and enslave South Island, Eastside Island, using Little Planet as his throne. sonic destroyed his reign in South Island and Little Planet, then Eastside Island.
miles (genius teenager, does not go by tails) also took part in helping sonic reach the Mandamori. (maybe i'll expand on that after 3...)

months after, sonic inexplicably learns about this underground civilization, entrance located at a huge crater simply named The Infernum. this civilization closely protected a crystal located at the core of the earth, the Master Core.
in a somewhat clairvoyant way, he'd had a hunch that Oxus would take this chance to harness that power for himself. so, he locates the entrance and... yeah. fell!sonic 3 begins.

Aftergore is a series of AUs taking place after Undertale's neutral endings, in which a new human enters in Frisk's wake.
Aftergore I, the Incomplete/Flawed Pacifist ending, details an ending in which everyone (except for Asgore) was spared and befriended. Toriel has taken her ex-husband's place, ruling the Underground with both strictness and kindness. Humans are to be treated not as enemies, but as friends.
