ESTRONS follow the success of ‘Make A Man’ their Radio 1, Radio X, Beats 1 and Amazing Radio playlisted debut single with the politically charged ‘Drop’ released on 7” vinyl on 24th June 2016. 

ESTRONS returned to the UK in March after storming SXSW in Austin, Texas as PRS for Music + BBC Introducing headliners. Riding high, the band went straight back into the studio to record ‘Drop’, a full-tilt, primal, sucker punch of a track to follow-up ‘Make A Man’. ‘Drop’ was made available digitally on Friday 6/5 ahead of a very special limited edition 7’’ vinyl which will be be available from 22nd July.

ESTRONS have a busy couple of months ahead supporting Dilly Dally on the UK leg of their European Tour and have just confirmed a double headline tour with The Bay Rays in October. Their fully charged, ballsy live performances are not to be missed. Between tours ESTRONS are scheduled to record their next single with Slaves producer Jolyon Thomas.

ESTRONS emerged to national prominence last December with a tsunami of radio love for the Cardiff based band including such notable milestones as being chosen Annie Mac as one of her #NewNames 2016, being selected by Radio X as one of their Great X-Pectations for 2016, their debut R1 Maida Vale session, a series of all conquering showcases at SXSW, plus their debut UK headline tour. 

ESTRONS have been play-listed by Radio 1, Beats 1, Radio X, Amazing Radio and Radio Tele Suisse Coleur 3. The Cradles are set to drop new single, ‘You Can’t Stop Thinking About Me’, on July 29 via iTunes/Solva Records.

Building on the success of their first national release, ‘Ideal Girl’​, the young Cardiff five­-piece stepped into the studio with Steffan Pringle ​(ESTRONS, Coasts, Charlotte Church) to carve their own path even further having already made themselves one of South Wales’ most exciting and hyped bands of 2016 after extensive gigging around the U.K.

The Cradles, while undeniably taking inspiration from the mainstays of garage rock, indie and pop of yesteryear, incorporate a modernity that injects a sense of a intrigue. Channeling the pulse of youth, quality songwriting, well crafted hooks and limitless hum-ability, the band create music that has an undeniable immediacy and timelessness.

‘You Can’t Stop Thinking About Me’ deals with the universal themes of healing a broken heart; however the songs’  narcissistic and slightly desperate lyrics create an unique edge over the traditional mindset of 'getting up and moving on songs'. Against a backdrop of moody guitars and tight drums, the undoubtable catchiness of the chorus almost hides lead singer Joe Norman’s acerbic tongue, akin to the likes of early Arctic Monkeys.

The band have played coveted support slots with the likes of Bill Ryder-Jones (Ex The Coral), Trampolene, The Bohicas, Pretty Vicious and The Ordinary Boys, as well as being featured as BBC Wales Introducing Artist Of The Week and receiving support from BBC Horizons Launchpad Fund. The Cradles have also been championed by online websites and blogs such as Fred Perry’s Counter Culture, Gigslutz, Clash, & The Vinyl District.  

The Cradles are Joe Norman vocals, Kieran O'Brien lead guitar, Declan Andrews drums, Luke Haines bass and Toby Andrews on guitar.
