Another year of life for me and honestly I really didn’t think I’d see a day past 18. I’ve had to fight more than most in my 23 years and I barely say a word about it, I somehow just smile through it. For me, music became one of the only ways I knew how to speak. Whether about my feelings happy or sad, or just what I’m going through at the moment. It’s how I cope. I do want to thank God for showing me everything I need to see so far. He showed me that regardless of how hard life gets, how much I really just wanna leave this beautiful planet, how many people hurt me even when I’m down, God gives me the strength to fight for what I love every second of every day. With that, I leave you with “Depression”. When I was at my lowest I wrote this in hopes to get out all the negative thoughts and feelings I had bottled up so I could actually start healing. I’ve kept a lot of these thoughts and feelings to myself my whole life. I finally feel ready to share that with the world. I hope this truly helps at least one other person heal. You are not alone.

22 Year old, JJH, is an up and coming hip hop artist and audio engineer. He was born in New York and moved to the suburbs of Philadelphia at an early age.
