James Benjamin is a co-owner of Montreal's Breakglass Studios and a prolific music producer, Grammy-winning audio engineer, mixer, and composer. In over a decade at Breakglass, he's collaborated with notable artists like Kaytranada, Purity Ring, Lunice, Bianca Oblivion, Anna Morgan, Honeydrip, and more and has crafted a distinctive signature sound—bass-heavy, vocal-forward, and genre-fluid music—that sets dance floors ablaze during his DJ sets. In 2023, he achieved a breakthrough as an artist, releasing a debut LP "The Boogieman and Samito Mixtape'' with his analog dance duo Boogieman and Samito via Urbnet Records. As James Benjamin, he released a series of well-received edit packs culminating in the release of an EP called “Dance Beyond Genre vol. 1” composed of two brand new edits and two originals “Team Break” and “Ancillary Things”
