En nuestra cuadragésima entrega tenemos el agrado de presentar a Ohrwert, tambien conocido como Arjen Schat. Arjen ha estado activo en el campo de la música electrónica bajo numerosos apodos desde finales de los 90.
Su aclamada serie “Reduct” lo hizo destacar como uno de los principales productores de dub techno de los Países Bajos, y todavía se mantiene firme con un flujo constante de lanzamientos y remixes en sellos de todo el mundo. Además del dub techno, Arjen ha estado adaptando el sonido de la 'Berlin-school' a su propia identidad sonora única, junto con su cantidad cada vez mayor de música ambiental y de drones meditativos. Esperamos lo disfruten tanto como nosotros!

Andi is a Brooklyn based-DJ, producer, and founder of the dark synth party and label SYNTHICIDE. Her own aesthetic combines her devotion to underground 1980s Industrial, EBM, New Beat, Italo and Sleazy Synth to create a soundscape that is unarguably danceable. Through her music, she aims to challenge the expectations within the confines of this masculine genre, often focusing on the ideas of revenge and strength through a woman’s perspective. Andi released her first EP, “Corpse To Corpus”, on aufnahme + wiedergabe in 2020.

This all-vinyl mix was inspired by the movie “Wild Orchid”, as well as the slow chugging Eastern-influenced New Beat that is perfect for warm summer nights.

This month's electro tonica run by Modulor brings us Julian Castles, a local dj, producer and cofounder of Supermercado Records. Over 10 years Julian Castles has refined his subversive approach to music. Starting off as a producer at the age of 15 experimenting with various styles of UK Bass music. He eventually found himself behind the DJ booth in 2013 when he joined the short lived but prolific "Mokumo" collective, playing and producing Acid House and Indie Dance inspired by many late nights in the Mercat basement. A decade later, his style draws on an eclectic list of influences and experiences including traveling, collecting music around the world, bush doofs, after hours clubs and playing in Punk bands. The result is a distinct and surprisingly cohesive mash-up of Electro, Breaks, Acid, Ambient, House and Prog which has left many Melbourne dance floors beaming and confused. These include Revolver Upstairs, New Guernica and Rainbow Serpent Festival.

🎶 Welcome to MIAOMIX series filmed in Iceland by Miao Music Copenhagen, featuring our new guest — LaFontaine
Reykjavík born producer and DJ, LaFontaine is one of the most auspicious artists coming from Iceland. His most acclaimed releases yet ‘Dehumanized’ - including a remix from Matrixxman on Exos’s label Planet X - and ‘Parallel Series 7’ on the legendary Mote-Evolver imprint owned by Luke Slater, drew attention from many of the most respected artists in the scene.
Iceland’s constant change of weather patterns and diversity in its distinctive nature has a big impact on the daily life of LaFontaine. He channels this into his productions, resulting in a range of different sounding music mostly within the techno genre making each release distinctive. Same goes for his live and DJ sets; by giving time and thought for preparation, keeping a certain theme to each set he strives to make the next one different from the last, which also keeps things interesting for him. With inspiration coming from all directions, LaFontaine respects the old school, appreciates current and coming trends but is always on the look out for new and alluring soundscapes.
