The first remix EP from Rejekted Records comes in the form of this sizzling five-tracker of JJOVIJO's FEELIN LOVE of which delivers a juicy slice of unpolished house with the hottest homegrown talents right on remix duty, APOLLO, L.A CRUZ, SAND ISLE and Rejekted's very own SA5H. The original, which is a thunderous, delightfully minimal-structured slab of deep tech built around muscular kicks, percussion rattles and fx capable of bringing any crowd to its knees. Coated in what can only be described as a seriously evil basement vibe , this is one of those bombs thatll be stuck in your head for some time after the party has ended. Popping in for the first remix is APOLLO, one of the nations finest producer talents who already saw his music being released on labels all across the world. Centered around fierce off-beat kicks and piercing bass stabs, APOLLO's remix is a gritty and intensely flavored house belter thats guaranteed to do damage in the clubs. 2nd in line is L.A Cruz who keeps things minimal and mid-tempo across a canvas composed of energetic highly powerful elements. Propelled by a strong, hypnotic groove, the track slowly builds up to a menacing house/techno-hybrid thats as mysterious as it is deep whilst keeping floor potential to a constant high. FEELIN LOVE's 3rd remix is from SAND ISLE, coming in strong with his remix which builds into a slightly different animal along the way with deep killer pads, soulful vocals leading the way, licks and atmospherics keeping you locked in paradise. ending up somewhere in the hills of the Drakensburg on a summer night in 1994. LASTLY, we end the EP with a remix from SA5H blazing into the BIG drums and keeps the Nu-Disco theme running with more phat bass, futuristic retro synth work & smooth brass sitting on top its killer disco beats. Rejekted Records is set to spread its own vision on no-nonsense house. Keep your eyes peeled and ears open !

Duke Meets Breach - Jack Clap (JJOVIJO Bootleg)

JJOVIJO is the progeny of house music extraordinaire Kevin Butho and music mechanic Martin Chech. Kevin Butho has been lurched within clubbing realm and is a household DJ name in the city for 11 years and counting while Martin works behind the scenes in the studio as a musical genius creating magic for over 12 years now. These two local South African talents amalgamate into JJOVIJO- an international sound of underground house. 

Kevin & Martin began as a four year long budding friendship before they finally took the plunge to start their own music engineering workshop in 2011. Unconnectedly their journeys involved majestic experiences of sound with Kevin mixing countless genres at Jhb’s hottest clubs while Martin musically engineered powerful productions. JJOVIJO, their lovechild filtered through all that music exposure maturing into their unique underground sound.

Before JJOVIJO, Kevin Butho & Martin Chech collectively released “In the present” signed by Don’t Look Productions and “Alive” signed by UK based record company, New City Sound Recordings both singles while fooling around in the studio. Passionate as ever, with an attractive foresight of listening please JJOVIJO was conceived.

JJOVIJO's latest projects, a triple-track EP was snatched up by Tryypy Records in Spain.  When Soulcandi Records got wind of this fresh sound, the South African music giants  signed JJOVIJO's 3-track EP called "Block Party EP".  Currently they are working on another recording called " Smoove EP" to be released soon by Soulcandi Records in May 2013

A Bass-driven, frighteningly beautiful underground dream is the sound idea behind JJOVIJO.
