We’re kicking off our next free download series with @flokapokaa all in celebration of our first ‘DeepEnd! Compilation’ released on vinyl later this year. It’s an exciting time for us and are happy to celebrate this with you.

For the label to finally reach its 20th catalogue number is a seminal moment. To reach it with the original logo designer for Encrypted Audio and all round top gent is an even greater honour.

Mesck [Zach] has a slew of releases on friends and family labels such as Chestplate & Crucial Recordings but with this release we wanted to create the feeling that no side was an A. Knowing Zach's style he did not let us down.

As we are referring to this release as : The Double Header.....

 'Locust March' is a testament to the commanding way Mesck uses percussion and synth tones in a controlled fashion to create anticipation in the way they are used. In a track dominated and driven by a raw Sub and Mid punch combination that Mesck knows all so well. Joined by the equally amazing 'Fugazzi'... There is no other way top describe this piece of art than EPIC.

The “Devil’s Breath” has been lying dormant for quite some time, its location being known only to the infamous Lucifer. People “Tremble” only by the sound of his name remembering the “Cataclysm” that he brought upon the world. While “Whispers” of his resurrection are echoing, “Mayday” calls are reported everywhere in hope of digging up the truth. 
His cursed “Sanctuary” was the gathering place for “Ancient Rituals”, some go as far as mentioning a mystical box whose content is  known only to the “Original Badmon”, one of Lucifer's most loyal servants. 
“Luscia” on the other hand, the most “Corrupt” of them all, has no regards for the rules of his master - and without him knowing - he began to harness power from the “Certified Organic” crystals in order to “Rise” above all and unleash damnation.

The continuous activity of Locus Sound has quickly become something to admire. Delivering some of my favourites throughout the year from the likes of Maes and Cartridge, the Bristol based label are already looking to branch out whilst keeping things strictly bass centric. Opening up a new outlet for multi-genre projects, Locus Sound welcome fellow Bristol native Roy Bar to the stacked roster, and it's a perfect fit. 'Icarus' moves through six tracks of addictive and diverse dance floor heaters whilst rolling through an impressive wide range of tempos. Being the 140 obsessive that I am however, it's a pleasure to be premiering the lone Dubstep focused track of the six, 'Growler'.
