This set played at the historic EndUp in San Francisco for the Real Deal Party Feel by Listed, Living, and the Grass is Green
It was a party full of feels!  TYSM Gunita, Nikita, and everyone who made it happen.  DJs have the easy job at a party, but your work is not unnoticed.

Playing a dj set in between two live acts - Moniker and all-time fave Dubtribe - I wanted to bring the energy up in an appropriate way, bringing some vocal energy and funkiness but also winding back down before Dubtribe.

Of course I could do zero of this without the amazing artists who created these gems I blended.  

As time goes by I'm down to pretty much zero sympathy for DJs who hide their track lists because they thinking someone will bite their style - sorry but if you think that way I doubt your style is very worth biting.  Other people made the tracks, give them the credit they deserve.  Mixing is an art - but don't be ridiculous :)

Bite me all you want it, I take it as a compliment and we both know it won't make you Ben Annand :)

I had the absolute honor of playing for my Cascadia NW Art & Music Festival fam this year and all I can say is it was purely magical. I arrived with a badass build crew to erect the entire backdrop for the event and that alone was one of the biggest feats of the week for me. Alongside playing with so many incredible artists and friends that I absolutely adore, this festival grounded me and sent me home buzzing from all of the heady vibes taken in over the span of that week. This is an extended set that was tracked back home in studio with additional songs mixed in that I had a seriously hard time eliminating during the live set. There is a copy of the live recording but I believe it was tracked in mono so I wanted to put something special to commemorate my time out in the woods with my family. Thank you for listening and I hope you enjoy. This one is truly special to me and will always be held close to my heart. Aho!

⚡️ The creative destruction happening personally & collectively is simultaneously more devastating & beautiful than I ever imagined would unfold in 2020. I hope this mix reminds you of our greatest power & true nature ~ LOVE ~ which has no end or beginning.

🔥 Honoring what’s rising with the calling out/calling in that is the Black Lives Matter movement, this story leads with the fierce beauty of Honey Dijon’s “Thunda” & “House”. Mood II Swing’s classic “Do It Your Way” features the legendary voice of Barbara Ann Teer (founder of Harlem's National Black Theatre), Shermanology’s “Voices” anchors the vibe, and Kira Divine on “Chameleon” takes us home.   

💃🏻 This was originally performed in June at the peak of our summer solstice Ring of Fire solar eclipse day. We streamed from Monkey Loft’s rooftop with DJs from Uniting Souls, Hunt & Gather & Viva Recordings, raising funds for the venue staff. Thanks to the crews for bringing me in, and the friends & fam I felt with me on the deck.

J-KIND is a DJ/Producer residing in the San Francisco Bay Area of California. His diverse and eclectic style transcends many genres and is currently focused on his burning passion for techno. When listening to a J-KIND mix, listeners are guaranteed a thrilling exploration of various emotions, set to relentless, stomping, and oftentimes, funky beats. Whether it's deep, introspective, jazzy, urgent, or imperative, your neck will move to the beat once he whips up a frenzy on the dance floor with his bottomless crate of jewels.

J-KIND's style is influenced by many artists from the 1990s era, including Daniel Bell, Terry Francis, Richie Hawtin, and Mark Farina. He began his career in 2001 with underground raves and parties throughout San Francisco Bay and has since traveled to Europe and beyond. In San Francisco, he pioneered many underground parties, including a residency at Bad Habits (now at Monroe), Temple, Bubble Lounge, and Tanil, as well as guest appearances with Uniting Souls. In addition to being a resident DJ for the Airpusher Collective Burning Man group, he also held a residency at Wish Bar & Lounge before it closed in 2020. He currently has a monthly residency at Ibiza Stardust Radio.  In addition to his quest for new sounds, you can be assured that regardless of whether he's spinning vinyl or using CDJs, you'll notice what he describes as "the beauty and power of DJ'ing – the ability to mix two tracks so creatively and uniquely that a new song is born."

His first EP, "Beautiful Life" was released in 2015 on Mioli Music and is available on Beatport, Spotify, and iTunes, and his single “Change of Tides” is a melodic techno success! 

He is also part owner/founder of Yes! Records, launched in 2023. His "Boundaries" EP is a hit, with remixes from Emanate and Franccessco Cardenas. 

As his sound continues to resonate through the San Francisco Bay and beyond, be assured any party with J-KIND on the bill will be an event not to miss.
