The album plays like a night at a South Bronx community center in 1973, but the “geeks” are crate-diggers, coders, gamers, and studio heads who obsess over breaks, signal chains, and culture history. Each track feels like a different moment of the party: the first needle drop, the breakers’ circle, the mic getting passed, and the late-night cool‑down when only the true heads remain. Sonically it’s raw, mono-to-stereo vintage hip-hop made from funk and soul breaks, with room noise, kids talking, train rumble, and DJ chatter baked into the mix.

Sit back and enjoy the sounds.  This set was comprised of 100% ORIGINAL MUSIC written by David Pelvis.  Performed at Shambhala 2018 on the Amp Stage at 3:30pm on Sunday during the Amp Crew Showcase.   Massive Thank you to S2 for the opportunity.

J*Labs (Jackie Peters) is a multi-genre music producer and DJ based in Southern California. Her musical journey began as a youngster when she started learning music theory and piano, she's has picked up various instruments along the way including the guitar, violin, bass, saxophone and percussion. Jackie has drawn on her musical background to help guide and inform her DJ sets, original productions and remixes. Her sets are woven together from multiple genres; designed to engage and uplift the dance floor.
