I've been away for a while.  Restaurant business has been very demanding lately.   Thought I'd come back with a remix of one of my absolute favorites of the old school blues men, Bukka White.  He recorded this track back in the 30's!  Amazing that something recorded so long ago still moves me in this day and age.  Bukka had this very percussive, tribal way of playing that was incomparable, and the timbre of his voice conveyed so much emotion.  Still gives me goosebumps every time I hear him.  Hope I've honored his legacy with my remix, and I hope you enjoy it.  I'll be visiting your pages soon to hear what you've all been up to.  Cheers, Joe

The word itself frightens conservatives. It is often used  as  bulletin board points, to cast out diversity and inclusion. Most people will see this song and look the other way and not support it. Solidarity is bullshit.   Woke is to be aware of the injustices of America to people of different ethnicities. The word incites a lot of things these days. it is often used in a negative context, mostly from bigotry and those of conservative values.  The song is me taking the meaning back to what it has always meant to me.  Stay vigilent. Always be awake. To be silent and dismissive is cowardly.  That scream you hear at the end is the angry mob of generational racist , who can not except change.   Humanity will over come hatred in the end always. No matter wether you agree or disagree. Support this music.
