"Not only does God never lose a battle, God never waste a battle."

We all know that it's not good to be emotionally vulnerable in social media, but today I've decided to share a personal story. I've been through a lot since 2017. Been going in and out as a patient. Starting 2017 I was diagnosed with Mild scoliosis and Muscle spams (Been on therapy for almost 4 mos, 3-4x a week), then got treated for Pulmonary Tuberculosis (6 mos), got diagnosed with Vocal Cord Hemorrhage and Sulcus Vocalis (Couldn't speak for 4 mos, 2yrs and 8 mos struggling up until now, need surgery as advised by Doctor), got myself to ER because of second-degree burn at my back, been taking medications for Major Depressive Disorder/Bipolar Disorder, and now... got diagnosed with Bell's Palsy, a facial paralysis. I know it's not life-threatening like the other illnesses out there. Being here for years though is physically, emotionally, mentally, and financially exhausting. But I have peace.
So I just noticed a few days ago that I'm having a hard time to gargle, the water is bursting out in my mouth. I thought it was nothing. The other day I just noticed half of my face has drooped, my smile is one-sided, and my right eye has resisted closing. I have pain around the jaw and behind my ear. It's difficult to eat, drink, and speak. It's uncomfortable. Yesterday I consulted a neurologist and she told me that I have Bell's Palsy. For most people, Bell's palsy is temporary. Symptoms usually start to improve within a few weeks, with complete recovery in about six months. I am so excited to share this with you because I have another milestone to celebrate and another testimony to share about the faithfulness of God. 
I'm sharing this to remind you that:
- If you look at life through the lens of eternity, today’s troubles cannot be compared to the glory that’s coming (Rom 8:18), so what hurts today will be wiped away behind the veil. “look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen,” which also happen to be eternal. Compared to that, “this momentary affliction” is simply preparing us for the glory that's beyond description.
- There is beauty in every season of life, even the more difficult ones. Every season is beautiful when you acknowledge God in it. 
- Wherever you are right now and whatever you're going through, it will pass!
Lastly, The battle is not yours but God's. So kumanta na din ako syempre. Haha. Not in my best face but whatever. Haha. believe God is able and He will never fail! This is my song for this season. I hope it encourages you as well!

Never Lost - Elevation Worship (Joana Marie Lor)

A week ago, I shared my personal story and it was crazy how I received so much love to each and everyone of you. I couldn't be more thankful to God for this humbling experience. Unexpected blessings came here and there since last week. While listening to this old song, I thought that's really true. God is good all the time. Life may not be good all the time but God is a good God.

I also love the declaration faith in the middle of the song."Though I may not understand all the plans you have for me. My life is in your hands and through the eyes of faith I can clearly see, God is good all the time." 

The thing I can’t walk away from is that the Bible doesn’t just say that God does good things. It says that God is GOOD. It’s not just what he does; it’s who he is — and who he is never changes.

God is good — not because he causes things that seem or feel “good” to happen in our lives, but because in the midst of the storm, God comes closer to us than the storm could ever be.
And this is why we can say with absolute confidence that God is good. This is why we can say, no matter how bad the storm is, no matter how much pain we experience, no matter how different the outcome is from what we’ve prayed for, that God is good. In the hardest moments of life, God comes close to us and he doesn’t change, he doesn’t falter, he doesn’t quit, he doesn’t leave and he doesn’t let go.

God is good all the time!

Today I've decided to do a cover of some songs I love from "The Greatest Showman". It is one of the most inspirational movies to date, for it is packed with valuable lessons about overcoming, achieving goals against all the odds and embracing scars. It brings music to my ears! 

From A Million Dreams, this song is very much geared toward the dreamers in everyone.  It speaks to the part of each of us that has a desire for meaning and destiny. It is a good reminder to keep going after your dreams. Come alive, it is an anthem for any misfit who needs some inspiration to embrace thinking and living outside of the box. This is me, this song strikes a chord with anyone who has ever felt like they are not enough, they don’t fit, or that there’s something wrong with them. Too many of us are trying to be all things to all people or hiding away parts of ourselves for fear of rejection or feelings of not being good enough. But know this: Celebrate who you are because you are worthy. No one ever made a difference by being like everyone else. Be you. From now on, from the lyrics itself, "And we will come back home, Home, again!" This is my favorite. It gives voice to our universal longing: a place to belong, a home to which we can return.  It hits like a flash of Good news. This is the substance of our deepest hopes- our longing for eternity that was set in our hearts long ago (Ecclesiastes 3:11).
