Some tracks made it onto the final album, most were shelved.. until now. These are the raw, unfiltered reference tracks that were considered during OctNova. Happy 4+ years.

The 4th official project that's been released by J. Mic comes in the form of a mixtape. "4 Tha Homiez" trails 5 years after "OctNova," the debut album. This mixtape is an intimate, goofy, raw, creative and sincere dedication to loved ones. Giving proper flowers to those that have been here since day one. As an homage to the first project and mixtape, "Timeless Flow," "4 Tha Homiez" gives a genuine delivery of a final mixtape in the artist's series, and bringing along "the homies for the ride" in what seems to be.. one last ride.

"I've been here all along..."

This is a demo track from an old project that The Intrvrts and J. Mic were working on back in 2017. The project was going to be a collaboration project that ultimately fell through - this was originally the opening and title track of the project, "Collegiate Confessions." 

Now, named "Sirens," it was originally produced by The Intrvrts, then recorded by J. Mic on a mobile device microphone with a simple autotune app. Never been altered since its initial recording, it now has its title due to its haunting calling and catchy rhythms with an ominous undertone. 

While this is mainly a release of an old demo, this sonic soundscape may be a glimpse into something to be continued...

It's finally here! Just a huge shout out to EVERYBODY who contributed to this project in one way or another and helped establish the comings of such a successful EP. This short album could NOT have been done without the help and company of so many friends and family members. The free project was inspired by true events, but does not parallel my life entirely in each and every aspect. However, it is no less a story about the rite of passage from teenage years into the first step of adulthood. With one last thank you, I'd like to thank my producers (The Intrvrts & Canis Major) and my engineer (Corey Miller). Without you, there would have been no literal EP and this would not have existed. Without further ado, I present to you, "The Prelude."

This EP is the prelude about the story of "The Kid." Throughout the journey, the archetypal character encounters the coming pressures of going off to college, alone, and leaving behind friends, family and loved ones. While excited about the ventures of collegiate life, The Kid is also very nervous and concerned about pleasing those in his life whom he cares about, but it may cost him his sanity...
