Short trancey tune I wrote to enter a compo. The rule was that every sound must be derived from a sampled 440 Hz sine wave that was posted on the website. Thus everything you hear in this piece is a sine forced through various effects chains - leads, basses, kick drum, snare... Even the obvious square wave is really a sine wave. I'll leave it to you, the listener, to figure out how that worked.

I've gotten a few new toys in my studio recently that I'm very excited about. I'm happy to say that this track uses virtually none of them at all (I did run it through my sweet new monitoring setup for a level/mixing check.) Everything was done 'in the box' in the amazing modular tracker SunVox, most of it after hours in my office, on headphones. A winnar is me.

Here it is, finally! My hard-hitting cyberpunk-themed track! Initially, I was moved by my playthrough of Ion Fury, but I soon found myself going back to the original Deus Ex more and more for inspiration.

This was the third song to be made during my retro music production streams on Wednesdays, where people can participate in the process by making suggestions and giving out comments. It took me roughly 14-16 hours in total - some of it was done off-stream, including final mixing and mastering. Everything was made in Cubase 12.

I think I've really outdone myself with this one - it's definitely some of the best material I've produced in 20 years of making music. I am so happy with what I managed to make.
