l wrote this song before 2020… more than 4 years ago … I feel that’s mean, witholding something that was created off of good faith and purely good intentions due to uncertainty… A playful woman got her pen and thought she can write her own love story… Most of us have watched a romantic comedy/drama/fantasy, correct? (And when I speak fantasy, I’m definitely referencing Disney.) I learned as a kid, like most do - play with your imagination and when I started to tap into my creative power as an adult I recognized how easy it is to manifest a love story …and how difficult it is to stand sturdy in your truth and your values on love and be in allowance to that love when it comes in… and you can have many love stories… with a friend…a lover… an ex lover… an already committed lover… a mother.. a sister…etc. 

My perspective suddenly changed, or held me back from receiving and giving unconditional love to the people who enjoy what I have to sing/say/hope/share and who I am rather, and that’s not fair!  I’m still a lover girl…only growth! I allow myself to radiate love & courage. 

 If you’re afraid of your own potential, what is/ who is going to love you back? Thanks to those who’ve held me accountable with this one, you know who you are…

Lessons in Love
-Being too vulnerable off an instant “connection” can be a liability. 
-You have the freedom to feel, write, share, and express ... do it with authenticity & grace ... not embarrassment and shame.
