Ole Mic Odd is a DJ and producer from Los Angeles. His music is driven by live recordings and hardware, combining elements of acid, techno, electro, ebm, minimal wave and house music. He ran The New U.S. Government label, and has releases on KRI, Kraftjerkz, Source Material, Zement, Hilltown Disco, Another Perspective, Natural Sciences, New York Haunted, Nerang Recordings + 2 new releases up at Jungle Gym Records.

Which artists has influenced you the most?

- This year it’s been Dynamik Bass System, Mandroid, Robotron, 214, Teslasonic, CEM3340, dynArec, Exzakt, DJ Godfather - but always Keith Tucker, Aux 88, DIE, DJ Di’jital... also older 80s electro and funk… I’m more influenced by electro that has funk and groove vs. the harder breaksy stuff

What new projects/releases with your participation are expected in the near future?

- I'm really excited about 2 releases coming out soon on Jungle Gym Records: a tape of pretty mangled, cavernous techno called "Cave Dweller" and a CD of new agey improvised synth compositions. Ive got a couple electro releases on the way too, and a new collaborative techno project ive just started with Kosmik here in LA

What inspires you now to create music?

- I guess I just have a drive to make songs, over and over again — I'm not really inspired by abstract feelings or ideas or things in my daily life, apart from other music. I just love creating my own world of sound and funk and grooves, and working in different styles, and then making up my own stories about alien robots trying to learn how to be human or something. I like to create music that's conceptual in a way that is meaningful to me, but doesnt tell the listener what it's about or what to think exactly.

What set-up do you use when creating music?

- I usually use my Rytm along with other synths like TB-3, Manther, Alpha Juno, JV-1080, DX100, K1, and the Microkorg for vocoder, plus different FX. Also ive used the DR-770 for a lot of my recordings as my $100 808.

A great honour to welcome Martin Matiske (@martin-matiske) on board! A genuine artist that began mixing records at age 10  quickly gaining attention in the electronic music scene. Inspired by early pioneers, he started producing tracks in the early 2000s. His debut single at age 15 earned widespread recognition, leading to performances across Europe. Over the years, Martin has released numerous EPs and albums, including work under his alter ego Blackploid. His groundbreaking sound and impact on the electronic music scene remain significant. Which artists has influenced you the most?
- Gerald Donald will always be number one. I think it can be heard. I wear my influences on my sleeve.

What new projects/releases with your participation are expected in the near future? 
- I continue to work with Luke Eargoggle, new stuff is fortcoming, we recently finished doing a lot of the soundtrack for a documentary called Ultras about international football culture. 

Which artists/labels is more relevant to you now?
- Brokntoys always delivers, and can not forgot my home label Stilleben records. Also very happy that E.R.P continues to release beautiful high quality music to this day.

What inspires you now to create music?
- It's almost been 20 years since I started, I have less ambition these days but I mostly start from scratch and see where my little sessions take me. I find more joy in that than finishing projects.

Autumn 2024 Mixtape [Electro]

"Wessel Janssen, better known as The Spy, is a Dutch electronic music artist who has carved a distinctive niche in the underground music scene. Based in Amsterdam, Janssen’s journey into music began in his youth when it provided solace during challenging times. However, it wasn’t until 2015 that he began to explore music seriously, purchasing his first Roland MC-303 synthesizer and venturing into the world of functional techno. Janssen’s early works were marked by a deep appreciation for how music could unite people and offer an escape from life’s struggles. This connection to music has driven him to continually evolve his sound, and in recent years, he has adopted the moniker “The Spy”. Under this name, he has shifted towards a more experimental and evocative style, blending boot-stomping techno with cybernetic grooves, jittery IDM, and sinister electro. His music is the perfect soundtrack for dark, pounding basements where time seems to stand still, drawing listeners into a world of ominous electronics.

TIGERCAST stands as an engaging monthly podcast series, streaming on Fade Radio.
Its primary mission is to provide a platform for a wide-ranging spectrum of artists, each contributing to the elaborate and diverse landscape that defines the immersive realm of Electro.

We’re thrilled to welcome @sin-it-sin, who has made a long journey from being a drummer in an alternative rock band to an electronic musician exploring electro, techno, and IDM.

He’s been a resident of the @electro-music-coalition since 2022. That same year, he began performing live. Sinitsin has already released music on labels such as Electro Music Coalition, @ldirecords, @sciencecult, @cyber-domain and Tiger Weeds, among others.

This set was recorded during one of his live performances in the winter of 2024 and features almost entirely exclusive, unreleased material.
