Story behind this song:

I love to write about break ups, and it´s totally ironic that the first song I actually show to people is not about that at all. I wrote it as an attempt to stop writing sad songs about bad break ups. So I was in this relationship and the person made me really happy, so I wrote this song. It´s kind of bitter sweet, I understand, and it´s not your tipically love song, but it was the best I could do. The relationship didn´t last but the song still means the same. I learnt a lot with that person and I´m glad I lived it, and I´m glad that relationship was the turning point for me as an artist. The song was recorded in my bedroom in London and at times I thought of profissionally record it, as I did with the rest of my music, but then I gave u p, because it being a demo made much more sense, as I see that relationship as exactly that :  A trial, a rough attempt to be happy. So not making it perfect and sounding amazing, was kind of the point with this one.

I wrote this song, inspired by this amazing music of Tom Bailey (google him - Link on the other song). I was feeling like crap, having one of those day where you can´t just get rid of your ghosts, and one of my bestfriends was having problems of her own and we were chatting about her relationship and how toxic it was. I ended up writting this song thinking in both my teenage years and a really bad boyfriend of mine and her fucked up current relationship. Hope you like it. If you have one of those fuck heads in your life, just don´t give him /her the time of day and just write mean songs about them... send them my way if you want me to sing them ahah! :)

What If (phone Recording)

Hello, my name is Jo and I created this account to share with you songs I write or cover.

I never had much courage to actually go through with showing people my lyrics and my music, but I feel more confident now and decided to start composing.

Baby steps though.

I have been inspired by backing tracks I listen online and that sometimes match my mood and I feel like giving a body to the lyrics I write on my own, normally at 4 am when I can´t or won´t feel like going to sleep.

I write mostly about bad break ups, I guess I always loved break up songs and those are the ones that mean more to me right now. I write about my own experiences and also about my close friends as a way of getting the grip of the things they are feeling and helping them as a friend should. 

So yeah, that´s all really.
Would love some feedback good or bad... it would mean the world to me.
